The Mayor’s Task Force is leading an initiative to make Worcester a food-secure community. The logo uses vegetables in the form of a “W” to symbolize access to healthful food for Worcester residents.
The “W” heart has a double meaning, since Worcester’s tagline is “The Heart of the Commonwealth.”
A vibrant, user-friendly website serves as the food access hub for Worcester residents and local food providers.
The website integrates a food finder tool for local food pantries, farmers’ markets and community meal programs, as well as information on SNAP & WIC benefits.
Data demonstrates the gap between those needing food and those receiving food, as well as advocacy opportunities.
