Storytelling in Branding, Web Design, and Video
Clients ask us how to differentiate themselves in the marketplace. There’s the obvious – selling a unique product or service that solves a complex challenge. Or exceptional client service. Or an innovative approach to problem solving. But how does a brand come across as authentic and evoke an emotional connection with prospective clients/customers? That’s where storytelling comes in.
define your brand story
What makes your company or organization special? Maybe it’s your response time to client requests, or the quality of your craftsmanship, or the deep experience of your team members. Consider asking customers/clients why you’re their provider of choice to gather data for your brand story. Evaluate your competitors and identify where you have a competitive edge. Find your “core differentiators” and commit to a brand narrative. Your brand (logo, tagline, visual identity, core values), web design, video efforts, and other marketing collateral should tie back to an overarching brand narrative.
storytelling & branding
Your logo and identity package should communicate who you are and what you do. For example, Pagano Media designed a bold new logo for DIENES (based in Germany) that features a subtle strikethrough to simulate the finely precise slits of DIENES cutting blades. DIENES has been a global leader in industrial knives and slitting systems for over 100 years. The company remains at the forefront of innovation in the industry, but previously lacked a branded look that conveyed its cutting-edge technology and deep expertise.
Pagano Media also developed the new tagline “Cutting-edge Precision” to communicate DIENES’ leadership position in the industry.
storytelling & web design
With dwindling attention spans online, you only have a few seconds to captivate your audience. To engage website visitors, think about how you can communicate with them on a personal level.
The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), an innovative leader in prison reform initiatives, entrusted Pagano Media to tell their story through a new website. From a variety of inmate rehabilitation programs to Sheriff Lew Evangelidis’ substance abuse awareness conversations with students in Worcester County – Pagano Media created a clean, user-friendly website communicating these efforts within the prison and greater community. Custom photography and video bring authenticity to the website and help tell the story.
storytelling & video
Video storytelling provides an immersive experience for your audiences, encouraging emotional reactions. Videos are inherently shareable and prompt engagement. Through imagery, sound, script, music, and pacing of editing, we are able to tell client stories across industries. stories get remembered
Stories are 22 times more memorable than facts alone. According to a study by Jennifer Aaker, Professor of Marketing at Stanford Graduate School of Business, stories can be more effective in fostering a lasting impression versus statistics alone. When audiences witness a story, they are more likely to remember it, and to remember the brand associated with it.
